Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. External shower room: With shower cubicles, heated towel rail and toilets (shared with other properties on-site). Enclosed shared grounds with a picnic bench for each pod. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note this property has a security deposit of £50
Oak Glamping pod is a simple and peaceful wooden pod, ideal for guests looking for a rural glamping break with beautiful views, including a charming local church on the horizon. The pod offers a basic but cosy experience.
Please note: Oak Pod does not have its own bathroom. Instead, guests have access to the shared shower block, just a 1-minute walk away. This modern facility also includes a shared outdoor sink area great for BBQ prep and a sunroom for unwinding. Wi-Fi is available in the pod and throughout the site. The seating area turns into the sleeping area, can be made into 2 single beds or one large bed across the back of the pod. Please note bedding supplied in bags for guests to make up as they wish.
Tucked between Ellesmere and Oswestry in North Shropshire, Castle Farm is in a truly desirable spot. Ellesmere, just 5 miles away, is home to the picturesque Shropshire Meres, a series of glacial lakes, as well as quaint independent shops and waterside walks. Oswestry (9 miles) offers high street conveniences and local markets, while St Martins, only 2 miles away, has a great village supermarket, café, pub, (1.5 miles away)and electric vehicle charging points.
The Welsh border is just a mile away, making Oak Pod a great base for exploring North Wales, including Llangollen, with its famous steam train, canal boat rides, and dramatic hilltop walks up to Castell Dinas Brân. History lovers will enjoy nearby Chirk Castle, Erddig Hall, and Whittington Castle, while walkers and cyclists can follow the Llangollen Canal over the stunning Chirk and Pontcysyllte aqueducts, the latter being a World Heritage Site.
Further afield, visit the historic towns of Shrewsbury, Chester, or even the Ironbridge Gorge, all under an hour’s drive. Closer to home, younger guests will love Park Hall Farm, and there are treats for grown-ups too, including a local gin distillery, ice cream farm, and water sports at Alderford Lake.
