While not fancy or modern, the house has all the essentials you need for a comfortable stay, including a well-equipped kitchen that even comes with an inspiring collection of cookery books and a handy second kitchen on the ground floor. The décor features a charming blend of antique and vintage furnishings, with soft colours that complement the home’s historic character. Teenagers often love the quirky ground floor room, and the snug living room has ample toys and games. Deckchairs, windbreaks and beach games are available. Outside is a small enclosed courtyard, ideal for dogs and for storing bicycles after a day exploring the stunning Northumberland Coast or the nearby Scottish Borders Perfectly located in the old part of Berwick. The house is just two minutes’ walk from bars, restaurants, and shops, and sits opposite a small car park with free 24-hour parking.
Berwick-upon-Tweed is steeped in history, walking routes, and seaside charm, and makes a great base for visiting nearby beaches, castles, Holy Island, or venturing into the Border towns of Kelso, Coldstream and Jedburgh. Take a train from the nearby station to Edinburgh, York or Newcastle, leave the car behind and enjoy a stunning journey along the east coast.
