This property is part of our Welsh Country Cottages collection

An inspiring collection of properties chosen for their character, luxury and heritage, all graded 4 star and above..

Situated on a working farm, this modern barn conversion enjoys its own hot tub and lies close to many attractions and amenities.

These 3 beautiful and spacious barn conversions are set on a working sheep and beef farm, and each property has its own private hot tub. The farm itself has 140 acres, and the farmland links up to the Ystwyth Cycle Trail which is over 16 miles long. The interiors of the properties have vaulted ceilings, modern lighting, and furnished with leather sofas and wood-burning stoves, each with a hot tub available. All 3 properties (refs OA5, OA6 and OA7) can be booked together to form one large house sleeping 12, and they all have interconnecting doors which can be opened up. There is also the option of taking a horse on holiday, the farm has 6 loose boxes and a paddock which can be made available. Located near Tregaron, a small Welsh-speaking market town where guests can visit the famous Rhiannon Welsh Gold Centre that offers beautiful gifts and a fantastic art gallery. Tregaron is also famous for its trotting races, which are actually held here at Dolyrychain Farm on the Sunday following the May bank holiday and also over the August bank holiday weekend each year. The event is the largest of its kind and attracts over 10,000 visitors. This is a haven for walkers and cyclists with the Cambrian Mountains at the foot of the farm and the panoramic Pumlumon Mountains to the north. Visit the university town of Aberystwyth, home of the National Library of Wales, take a walk on the promenade or even catch the electric cliff railway on Construction Hill. For a magical day out take the narrow gauge railway from Aberystwyth to the heart of the Pumlumon Mountains where the destination will be the world famous Devils Bridge and Rheidol Falls. Ideal for fishing, as there is private fly fishing 2 miles away, as well as other fishing venues close by. Shop and pub 1 mile.

We truly enjoyed our anniversary long weekend getaway here. Everything was just wonderful. People should know that it is completely in the middle of nowhere. This is what we wanted so it was perfect but you are looking at an hour round trip for a decent supermarket so just be prepared for that. The address on the info sheet when you book isn’t for the holiday cottages. You need to look for the sign ‘Trotting farm’ and you will turn down that lane and then take a left. We have told so many of our friends and family about how wonderful it was and are discussing renting all three for a family Christmas in the future.

Lovely cottage, very well restored barns with no money spared, its very beautiful and i love the open plan. The bath in the low bedroom light, omg its awesome. Hot tub finished it off nicely though! The only 1 thing that i would say was a bit of a pain is the fact its a dog friendly cottage but has not got a secure garden, I did read this in one of the reviews (after booking) so luckily took a ground tie and long line but this does slightly let it down for me. The local area (next village) has take away (chines was good) and the village itself has a nice little pub, devils bridge nearby and definitely worth a look at at if your fit and able.... If you don't mind a quick drive than Aberystwyth is only 15/20 min drive and is very lovely seaside town and Little Italy restaurant here does THE BEST EVER Italian food!! All in all we had a lovely relaxing time, Thank you Bwthyn Cottages :)

Overall, the location was great. However, in the lodge the lack of cleaning products was very strange. We had been left 1 dish cloth but no washing up bowl or surface cleaner. There was also no vacuum cleaner avaliable and the floor brush that had been left was not very good. There was also a big problem with flies in the lodge which were just everywhere and we couldn't et rid of them. I also expected to have a booklet with local amenities and emergency numbers and instructions however there was nothing there.
