This property is part of our Welsh Country Cottages collection

An inspiring collection of properties chosen for their character, luxury and heritage, all graded 4 star and above..

This beautiful conversion is located within easy reach of local amenities, tourist attractions and the Ceredigion coastline.

Bwlch Y Person Barns are beautiful conversions of traditions Welsh long barns. Located in a tranquil setting surrounded by rolling countryside, these wonderful properties boast character, charm and all the comforts for the perfect countryside holiday with a resident barn owl in the grounds. Close to the borders of both mid and south Wales, these very comfortable properties provide perfect holiday accommodation. The four cottages, Cartws (ref. OH3), Stabl (ref. OH4), Beudy Bach(ref. OH5) and Beudy (OH2) form a right angle shape with parking in front, with lovely views across the countryside and all have their own terraces with furniture. Families will appreciate the separate recreational area with football posts and nets, picnic bench and table set away from the cottages. For added enjoyment, three of the cottages feature their own private hot tubs. Both Beudy Bach and Beudy have hot tubs at the rear of the cottages on their enclosed patios.
All are ideally placed for exploring the dramatic and truly scenic Ceredigion coastline. The picturesque and colourful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron is only 6 miles away where there is a selection of interesting independent shops and a great choice of restaurants and eateries including, fish and chips, ice cream parlour and fine dining. The National Trust house and gardens of Llanerchaeron are 4 miles away and from here there’s a delightful level pedestrian country footpath, suitable for bikes, pushchairs or wheelchairs, which leads into Aberaeron. Pretty New Quay with boats bobbing about in the harbour is just a few miles further on, and is definitely worth a visit. You must look out for the resident pods of bottlenose dolphins seen in the bay on an almost daily basis! Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

Myself, my husband and our son stayed in this holiday home on 11/2/19-15/2/19. We had such an amazing time, the cottage is amazing, it has everything you need and it was spotless. The hot tub was great, we loved ending our day by relaxing in there. The owner are lovely and happy to help with any questions we had. Thank you for a great stay.

Had a great time staying this October (leaving during the middle of Storm Callum!) The cottage was excellent, the hot tub fantastic, and the overall setting and location cannot be beaten. Will definitely be conning back!

I booked two cottages for a family holiday. Both cottages were lovely and net all of out needs. Alan and Wynn were helpful not only in terms of directions for getting there but making us feel welcome. I would strongly recommend the cottages.

Myself and the two other guests have been to a couple of different lodges/log cabins/cottages with hot tub facilities within Wales and this one has definitely been our favourite! The cottage itself was spotless upon arrival and there was even a little welcome pack with crackers and cheese, Welsh cakes, wafers and a bottle of red wine. The open plan design of the interior was perfect for us as it makes it more homely and communal. The owner, Wynne was lovely and extremely helpful throughout. The hot tub was amazing and the garden facility was also perfect for us as there was outdoor seating and a BBQ, which is something not always available. There were also plenty of towels available to use and more than enough for 3 of us to use for both the hot tub and the bathroom, something that isn’t always as generous in other places we have previously stayed. Would also like to mention how lovely the Gardner/Groundsman was who cut the grass next to the cottage, he gave us advice and directions on the area and just a friendly chat, which was very welcoming. The location is good as it is in between lots of different attractions/areas so you really do have the choice. However, it was a little difficult to decide which one of these surrounding areas to venture to but that is down to preference and what you’re looking to get out of it. It’s also worth mentioning that there was a baby safety gate at the top of the stairs of the upstairs bedroom which would be useful for parties with children, although we didn’t personally have any with us, definitely a good thing to know. Cleaning facilities were also easily accessible in a cupboard, which was extremely useful. I would 100% recommend this cottage to anyone and will certainly be booking again to return in the future!

Our family had a fantastic weeks holiday at Beudy Bach. Great welcome pack on arrival, well laid out kitchen (we liked the ironing board in the drawer!), lovely warm house from the underfloor heating, and generally larger than we were expecting with a name of 'Bach'! We particularly enjoyed the fabulous hot tub and liked the privacy of the property, being accessed from the opposite side of the other three properties on site. We knew it was in a rural location, but there's a well stocked Costcutter shop in Ystrad Aeron less than two miles away, and it's also perfectly placed for visiting the lovely National Trust property of Llanerchaeron. Diolch am gwyliau dda!
