Set in the peace and quiet of the Somerset countryside, Lakeview Holiday Cottages is a collection of contemporary homes from home designed with relaxation in mind. Within an easy drive from sandy beaches for those bucket and spade days, Lakeview Holiday Cottages is home to two and three bedroom properties. Each one has an impressive décor and the kind of features that make you want to spend as much time as possible catching up close to home, from kingsize beds, Juliet balconies and lake views.

With Somerset’s gentle canals to one side and a private fishing lake to the other, we can’t really think of a more idyllic setting for some time out with your favourite people. Close to the little village of Huntworth near the Somerset Levels, our Lakeview cottages and lodges are perfect for those of you keen to explore the area on foot, and for those days when you’re happy not to venture far from home you’ll find the communal gardens make just the space to unwind in the sun.

Whether you’re planning a break with the family for some precious time out, or an escape from it all with friends in the Somerset countryside, Buttercup Cottage makes a welcoming property with everything you need to enjoy time with the people that matter.

On those lazy days when you’re content to stay close to home you can take advantage of the patio access from the living room, stepping out for a breath of air in moments. The picnic bench on the patio makes just the spot to while away sunny afternoons over a glass of something chilled, and when it’s time to retreat inside you’ll be greeted by a stylish, spacious area to spend a few hours curled up in front of a DVD.

Outside, the communal gardens mean those of you keen to get as much fresh air as possible during your time in the West Country can spend hour after hour with a book on the lawn or wandering the grounds, and there are some beautiful walks to explore without even leaving the resort.

Upstairs, the master bedroom offers a little bit of luxury in the form of a kingsize bed, and even has a little Juliet balcony so you can see what the weather’s doing before you even leave your bedroom.

Lovely house, should not be described as a cottage, it is clearly not. Very good size, impressed with appliances. Few issues with missing stool for dressing table. House is for 6 yet there is only enough seating in the living room for 5!! It needs another chair at least. Not acceptable for someone to have to sit on the floor. Bathroom in en suite - fan not working. Cleanliness in 2nd bedroom not 100% lots of long hairs everywhere? 3rd bedroom door did not just shut. These were things that did not detract from a lovely time; however when paying high price for a weeks stay I would expect near perfection.

Lovely holiday property. Location was really close to jct 24 but not so much that you could see or hear it but ideal for travel. The site was lovely and quiet which countryside around you and a beautiful canal you could access for nice country walks. The property was spacious and clean but we did have a few issues of things not working which was annoying. My biggest bug bear was seating as I was told when booking there would be ample seating for 6 people as it’s accommodation for 6 however on arrival the living room did not have enough as only had a 2 seater and 3 seater. I did however complain and they did furnish me with a small tub chair from another property for the duration of my stay. The only other issue I had was the double bedroom as there was No storage and we had to use the kids room or airing cupboard. This was badly designed and tbh it could be changed with some clever storage but because the properties are designed to a minimal style they wouldn’t add any. This is a shame as there are many clever storage fixes that would sort that out. The staff were very helpful and were very quick at fixing the problems they were able too so it made for a very enjoyable holiday. All in all I would stay there again as it felt very relaxing and after the covid year we’ve just been through, we all needed that!!
