Our family of 10 spent a wonderful week at Burnfoot of Cluden. The house is extremely spacious and comfortable, and we were all able to have a relaxing holiday without getting into each other's hair! The kitchen is well-equipped and perfect for making large meals, while the bathrooms are spacious and the bedrooms generous. We particularly loved the beautiful gardens in which many of our group spent a large part of their vacation. We went on several nearby local walks, as well as some a bit further afield (<40min drive) - the house's location guarantees peace and quiet, but is also on the doorstep of many of the area's best walks. All in all, we would not hesitate to stay here again, and will likely be booking another break here in the next couple of months!

The house really suited our family party of 12. It was in an amazing location by the river. Lots of days out. Lots of home cooking on the aga. Played lots of games. Visited castles and beaches nearby. Weather was hot and sunny. Overall a perfect family holiday.

Perfect for a 4 generation family get together. The house is spacious, lovely, warm and set in a beautiful rural location but really close to the town for nipping to get something else to enhance our stay! We really had the best time as some of us stayed the whole week and some came and went at various times. The river at the bottom of the garden is so lovely and there’s nice walks from the house. Even the elusive kingfisher was spotted by some and a trip to the red kite feeding centre was a highlight of our stay. Highly recommend Burnfoot of Cluden!

Overall we had a great experience. The house is perfect for large groups. Great location and the owner is extremely friendly. We had one issue with one of the double beds being broken but the owner did a temporary fix and I believe they are replacing the bed now. Otherwise the house was perfect for 17 people and 2 dogs!

Second time at this lovely house. Our family group had a lovely time here. Not just so suitable for my elderly father whose mobility continues to reduce. The floor coverings present trip hazards - tied floors down to floorboards and floorboards to wooden flooring in sitting room. The Aga in kitchen is so lovely and warm you hardly want to leave the house. Very well equipped house in a lovely peaceful setting.
