Lovely cottage with lots of interesting period features. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and there was a lovely welcome tray on arrival. In the village there were two pubs and a shop which was a great bonus. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed some walks around the village. The owner was very helpful and welcoming, locals were friendly too.

This cottage was very convenient for travel to family in Durham and exploring the wider area. We walked in the North Pennines, had family time, visited friends, went to High Force and look forward to visiting again and seeing Raby Castle and other places of interest. The owners are extremely helpful and considerate and keep the cottage in lovely condition.

Excellent location for us as main objective was visiting family nearby. This is a very pretty cottage, comfortably furnished and well equipped, in fact the best equipped kitchen facilities and equipment for self catering accommodation we've come across! Very friendly and accommodating hosts who provided an excellent welcome tray with all the usual things plus chocolates and a very well received bottle of British wine - thank you both for making us and our dogs so welcome!
