With walks from the doorstep, the area is also popular for cyclists and mountain bikers. There are several fisheries nearby including trout and fly fishing, and Whalley Golf Club is less than a mile away. Situated on a bridle path, there is stabling available on site (to be arranged directly with owner). A lovely location with very hospitable owners on site, Roy and Kath. Ideal for local walks from The Barn to Sabden and the Nick of Pendle or for longer walks to the summit of Pendle Hill. It is a two mile walk into Whalley, a lovely village with an Abbey worth visiting, cafes and pubs. We also walked from Barley up to the reservoirs as we had a pram. As it is a working sheep farm it is very interesting for any children to have contact with sheep, lambs and hens. The facilities at the Barn are spacious and very comfortable with seating areas outside and a BBQ which we made use of.

We had the best stay at the Barn. Roy and his wife made us feel very welcome even letting the kids feed the lambs on the farm in the morning. The most peaceful location which allowed us all to relax. Highly recommended.

A beautiful setting to stay. 10/10 from us and we are already looking to go back. The cottages themselves are situated on a farm so you really need to drive but totally worth the visit. Roy and Kathleen are very lovely and so accommodating. Fully recommend for families/couples.
