I and my 97 year old mother both thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We loved the view from the patio and the local wildlife. The hosts were most welcoming and showed is how everything worked. Lots of information at the cottage to help us plan our week and, when we were not out, we were able to enjoy looking out at the owners' beautiful garden.

A very well appointed cottage with all the facilities one could wish for in a holiday retreat. The owners were very welcoming and provided excellent advice on attractions to visit and local restaurants. We very much enjoyed the owners' beautiful garden.

Whilst well located, this property is of low to average quality when compared with many others we have stayed at. In particular, the double bed in the main bedroom is so low that some of our party could not get up off it. Cleanliness was questionable with for example, dusty skirting boards, grime behind kitchen tap and interior of fridge worn and dirty looking. Whilst there was a very friendly welcome from the owner, we would not stay here again and could not recommend it.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner- We are sorry that some details of the cottage fell below your expectations, and your comments will be addressed. Many of our clients have commented on how comfortable the beds are, but they do come in different heights, and it may be that if you are accustomed to a higher bed, our king size double sleigh bed may seem low. However, we do wish that you had brought your concerns to our attention at the time, as we try to do all we can to make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible.

The cottage was in an idyllic setting with beautiful views over open fields. A very quiet and restful location with lots of garden birds and even hares in the field opposite, an absolute treat. The house itself was very comfortable and well-furnished but perhaps in need of some minor updates such as replacement of grouting in the ensuite and a new keysafe. Owners, Gordon and Nicole, were considerate and friendly hosts, who were nearby but never intrusive. Gallery cottage is well-placed for visits to so many places of interest and is not too far away from the amenities offered in Framlingham and, for food shopping, Saxmundham only 5miles away has a Waitrose and a Tesco store. We visited Framlingham and Orford castles, Minsmere, Dunwich, Aldeburgh, Snape, Southwold, Sutton Hoo and a few other interesting places. The weather was kind but even on rainy days there is so much to see and do. We would certainly return to Suffolk and unquestionably Gallery Cottage but a word of advice, avoid the dreaded jigsaw puzzle as it becomes quite addictive and there are one or two missing pieces!
