A really quirky little find. The house is set up extremely well and has a few extras too (i.e. art materials and an easel). It has an issue with its upstairs windows, which wouldn't be such a bother if it wasn't for it spoiling an absolutely amazing view looking across the river and out to the sea. They need to replace the sofa too as it has seen better days, but to be honest I'm quibbling. I'd definitely stay there and it is a steal for what you pay.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you very much for your lovely review. I am delighted to be able to say that the defective windows have now been replaced and hopefully you may return and visit to enjoy the view yet again.

We had a very pleasant stay at this ideally situated property. Lymington and the New Forest are excellent spots for a short break. The public transport, even off -season, is very good.

Bosuns Locker was an awesome place to stay. With its winding staircase and beautiful upstairs lounge it was stunning. At present the front windows double glazing has blown, but the view was still lovely. It was 30 degrees while we were there. And the trusty fan provided was essential! Every thought was given to provide comfort. The kitchen also had everything you could need, and the location was awesome. Just off the high street. It was a bit noisy at times but hey it was the World Cup! Awesome place, would definitely stay again.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you very much for your lovely review and we are delighted you enjoyed your stay. Yes Lymington did indeed embrace The World Cup what a shame we didn't quite make it all the way. The window replacement is in the planning process now and will be replaced this Autumn. I am sorry that the amazing weather exacerbated the misting.

A nice place to stay, home from home. Is on a busy road. Close to the town.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your review, I’m delighted you enjoyed your stay at Bosun’s Locker. Located as it is in one of the most historic parts of town, on a side street, off the main High Street; the road gives access to the marinas and this residential area at the mouth of the river unfortunately there are days in the year when the road can be busier than others.

A brilliantly equipped quirky little cottage in the heart of Lymington. We initially had a boiler problem and the cottage owner and also the caretaker could not have been more helpful. We had a wonderful holiday. This is our second visit to this cottage and we will definitely be back!

Response on behalf of the owner; It was delightful to have you visit for yet another year and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
