Nice place to stay living area compact and snug great for family 4 adults might find it a squeeze ; road noise can be heard at times double glazing if allowed would help ; shame wateredge pub closed for refurbishment but we managed park over road great for dogs ; some instructions on how to work heating is needed; we ended up guessing how to put it on having found the neatly disguised thermostat

Lovely cottage, close to the park which was perfect for the dog. The garden is small but did a job. The fence between us and next door had come down so we did have to make a barrier to stop our inquisitive puppy performing his Houdini impression. Would be worth trying to get this sorted to prevent any escapes as one of the reasons we chose the place was because of the enclosed garden. As per previous reviews the drive is a little tricky especially if you have a large car. We had to do a a lot of manicuring to turn the car round so it was safe to exit the drive on to the road. I marked cleanliness down as the rug in the living room was covered in dog hair, trouble is there is no hoover in the cottage to give it a once over. Due to location we will look to book again.

Fantastic location - directly over the road from Borrans Park (excellent for dog owners like us) and literally a minutes walk from Waterhead Bay. The cottage is well-equipped with a very nice kitchen and bathroom. A very nice touch was the Prosecco and shortbread left for us on our arrival by the owners. Just a couple of negative points - driveway is a little tight, especially for 2 cars, and leads directly onto a very busy road where visibility on exiting the drive is restricted. Lounge seating was fine for 3 adults, but there were 4 of us, so a 2nd more comfortable chair would be good, instead of the very small 2 seater sofa. The beds were also a bit uncomfortable - perhaps new mattresses needed. Having said all of that, we had a wonderful week at Borranside and would definitely return. Thank you.
