Step inside to an open-plan living space that radiates charm and comfort. A wood burner flickers invitingly beside super-comfy seating, while the beautifully equipped kitchen, finished in blue-grey tones, invites slow mornings and shared suppers. Every detail, from the thoughtful décor to the gentle glow of light across the room, speaks of style and sophistication.
Upstairs, the atmosphere turns even more indulgent. The super kingsize bed, dressed in soft linens, promises the deepest of sleeps, while the striking en-suite bathroom, complete with a double walk-in shower, feels like a private spa.
Outside, the garden beckons with a bistro table for morning coffee or evening wine beneath the Cornish sky. To the side of the cottage, a wood-fired hot tub awaits, steaming and serene, the ultimate place to unwind as dusk settles over the fields.
When you’re ready to explore, the treasures of North Cornwall unfold nearby. Porthcothan’s sandy shores and rolling surf are perfect for sea-dipped mornings and salt-kissed walks, while Padstow’s cobbled streets reveal Rick Stein’s celebrated restaurants, boutique shops, and galleries that spill down to the harbour. Hire bikes on the quayside and follow the Camel Trail to Wadebridge, pausing for fish and chips and the gentle hum of boats in the bay.
Take the ferry from Padstow to Rock, where sweeping sands lead to Daymer Bay and the church of St Enodoc, resting place of poet Sir John Betjeman, before continuing on to Polzeath for a beachside drink at sunset. Nearby golf courses, charming Wadebridge, Bodmin’s heritage steam railway, and the picture-perfect village of Port Isaac complete this captivating Cornish escape.
