Ideal touring location

This delightful detached holiday property is ideally located for families, as it is a short walk from a 4 mile long sandy beach, one of the finest beaches in Wales backed by sand dunes, and a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Situated in Harlech, on the Cardigan Coast within the Snowdonia National Park, it is perfectly central for reaching the tourist attractions of Llanfair Slate Caverns, Shell Island, Portmeirion, Porthmadog, the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway, and Coed-y-Brenin Forest. Harlech is also best known for Harlech Castle which dominates the town. The world renowned Royal St David’s Golf Course is opposite (the 2nd in Wales of the top 100 courses in 2013, and 43rd in the UK and Ireland’s top 100 courses also in 2013). Walkers, mountain bikers, climbers, and fishermen will find plenty to test their skills in the area, and for those wanting to travel slightly further, Snowdon, the Lleyn Peninsula and Betws-y-Coed are all an easy scenic drive away. There are excellent boutique restaurants in the town, (booking is essential in high season). Beach 500 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Lovely property that was the perfect base for venturing into Snowdonia. Everything we could wish for and very quiet at this time of year which was what we were after. We hope to come again later in the year.

We had a fabulous time at Bodeithin, all the people in our party loved the house and location, so much so we have booked again already for next year

Really lovely family holiday! The house was everything we wanted out of the holiday. But on the second day we had two gardeners turn up and we had to get all the dogs in and the children in as they where out side playing. And a plumber can a few times as there was a problem up stairs. It just disrupts the holiday. I had one of the bedrooms up stairs and found lots of black hairs in the all the three beds in that room! And the same hairs around the bathroom. So I used my son's duvet for him as we brought it, and I washed ares the next day. So not great, and have the bathroom a good clean.

It is the second time we have stayed at the house and found once again it is ideal in location, size and well equipped. It is well suited to a large family with pets as there is lots of room both inside the house and the gardens and only a fairly short walk to the beach. The road on which it is located is fairly quiet except when the visitors to the beach car park are arriving/leaving. Only two small comments. 1. the downstairs shower room needs attention to the lock and suggest bath mats are provided to save using towels. 2. Large umbrellas would be useful to deal with the Welsh rain.

Sadly this cottage was let down for a number of reasons, general cleanliness lacking, extremely dusty everywhere, dirty sheet in wardrobe. Shower fell off wall at first attempt, no cleaning materials except washing up tablets, no welcome pack not even a tea bag, bathroom downstairs unable to use due to pungent smell, no fans anywhere as it’s a holiday cottage one would think there would be at least one we had to go to Tesco’s and buy a couple and then back again to buy a screwdriver , garden needed weeding and garden furniture tatty and old on the whole. Overall this could be a love,y cottage but requires attention to detail and tlc, we left a day early, we text ‘Angela’ to let her know she didn’t have the courtesy to reply back Location amazing and we will be going back but we will not be staying here .

Fantastic location. Spacious accommodation and gardens. Caretaker very helpful when we had to contact him over a minor problem. Plenty of off road parking. All in all a wonderful holiday made by the fact we enjoyed a week of unbroken sunshine. Fantastic.
