Character stone cottage in Penmachno with a wood-burning stove and flexible sleeping for families, close to a village shop and pub and perfectly placed for exploring Snowdonia’s walking and cycling routes.
In the friendly village of Penmachno, with a local shop and a welcoming pub close by, this character stone cottage is a great base for exploring Snowdonia. It is a comfortable choice for families and outdoor lovers, with walking and cycling routes all around, plus plenty of places to visit within a scenic drive. You can stock up on essentials nearby and be out on the trails in no time.
After a day outside, come back to a cosy lounge warmed by a wood-burning stove, an inviting spot for reading, chatting and putting your feet up. The kitchen is well-equipped for holiday cooking, whether you are packing lunches for the trail or preparing a simple supper, and there is a handy utility area with laundry facilities, useful after muddy boots or wet weather. Upstairs, two bedrooms provide flexible sleeping, including a family room, along with a shower room for easy mornings. This cottage is also pet-friendly, so four-legged friends can join in your adventures too.
There is no allocated parking at the cottage, but there are spaces nearby on a first come, first served basis. From the village, you can follow riverside paths, seek out waterfalls and enjoy the wider landscapes of the national park. Betws-y-Coed is also within reach for shops and places to eat, while a range of local attractions and day trips can fill the rest of the week. However you choose to spend your time, this is a warm, practical place to return to at the end of each adventure.
