Fancy something a little different? Relax and unwind in this beautiful off-grid cottage, where there is no mains electricity, lights work off the solar panels. The thick stone walls are cool in summer and cosy in winter. For winter guests, the kitchen is lovely and warm as the Rayburn provides heat and hot water. The wood burner in the living room, a radiator in the bathroom and heavy winter duvets in the bedrooms (no heaters) provide enough heat to keep you cosy! Thischaracterful beamed cottage, with slightly wonky floors, is full of quirky little features and you would expect from an old cottage. It has been tastefully decorated and you can relax in the living room while taking in the spectacular views and cosy up in front of the wood burner in winter.
This is a remote setting with stunning views and no neighbours - apart from the woolly, four-legged kind! Go on adventures for miles (you have access to 400 acres of the owners’ land), or simply sit and relax and take in the breathtaking views. Heating, hot water and cooking is via the oil Rayburn, whilst the fridge and hob are run on gas. There is no TV, no Wi-Fi, and no distractions (there is 4G reception outside). If you fancy a complete break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life this is the property for you.
Set in a remote, detached location this property benefits from a wood-fired hot tub, from where you can also take in the surrounding views. The area is perfect for walkers with many footpaths starting from the front door. Only a short drive away is the town of Newtown, set on the banks of the River Severn, with a good selection of pubs, restaurants and shops. The coast at Aberdyfi is within easy reach, along with the beautiful mountain scenery of southern Snowdonia. After a busy day exploring, guests can enjoy the patio to the front of the property or chill in the wood-fired hot tub to the side of the property.
