Cottage homely with every kitchen appliance you could need. Tea, coffee, salt, pepper all there. The location is very rural, which we liked but not far from anything.

This is a superb cottage, I can’t say anything negative about it. On arrival there was a bottle of wine and home made cup cakes, plus lovely fresh flowers in the lounge. The owner and her husband are a lovely friendly couple who made us very welcome but did not intrude on us. The most important thing for me on holiday is always a comfortable bed, and the ones in the cottage certainly were. We all had restful evenings. Our weather wasn’t very good and I would love to go back when the weather is better as the views all around are fantastic . .

Freshly cooked Welsh cakes were waiting when we arrived after dark (and pleased to say the satnav took us to the front door) so it was a lovely surprise to see the view across the mountains when we looked out the next morning. The cottage was spotless, spacious and well equipped and we were made very welcome by the owner. Although it was February we found some great pubs and restaurants, magnificent scenery, great walks and beaches that are out of this world. Add castles, steam railways (not in February alas), slate mines and mountains and we realised that 5 days was not enough. We hope to return soon. There is no mobile signal but there is working WiFi (but at a very basic level)

The owners were very friendly and helpful. The cottage was lovely, spacious and clean, with lots of character, being a renovation of a several hundred year old barn with most of the original roof beams retained. The surrounding scenery was stunning and location is only a few minutes drive from the main coast road giving easy access to nearby facilities. It is also in easy reach of most of the key attractions in Snowdonia and North Wales. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be returning in the future
