Somebody has spent a lot of time to sit and think what a guest / guests with teenagers or toddlers and or dogs would need for a relaxing vacation but with enough to keep them occupied - great job done and I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and ideally I would love to return again.

Response on behalf of the Owner; It’s so nice to be appreciated... Thank you. Seriously though... as a family, we go away in the UK every year and realise how important the small things are that go to make a break really good and we do try really hard to think of everything we can for our guests. I’m sure there are things we miss, and that’s why we love it when guests let us know of things we could do to improve. Thanks for leaving this review for us... we really hope you come back.

We had a fabulous time at the Old Dairy cottage, absolutely loved the hot tub and the wood burner made the place lovely and cosy. The rooms were very comfortable and the whole place was more spacious than we expected from the photos. Really nice decor and beautiful modern bathrooms. Very accommodating hosts, great communication and welcoming. We would definitely recommend and hope to go back soon ourselves. Thank you.

A magnificent barn conversion in an enviable location. Very well equipped and finished to a very high standard. There are walks from the doorstep in abundance and many other attractions and places to visit including the coast just a short drive away. The hot tub was a great bonus on a chilly night especially with a full moon and clear sky. Despite being open plan which was lovely and sociable the barn is extremely warm and the wood burning stove kicks out the heat! As it is tucked away down a track it is very quiet and peaceful and that combined with a super comfy bed meant we slept well too. We had a lovely week and this cottage whilst a little bit more pricey than some of the alternatives it is so worth paying a little bit extra for a something of such high quality with such great facilities.

Wonderful holiday, very relaxing with some lovely touches including the Treasure Hunt as set out by the owners. WIFI was a bit hit and miss - but do you really need it as you are on holiday? The cottage has an excellent layout for families with young children, couples or as our group; parents, grown up son, daughter in law and young baby. Good location for visiting various places on the south coast and surrounding area. We particularly enjoyed Monkey World and Weymouth Sea Life Centre.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Hi Barbara. Thanks so much for coming to stay at the farm and for taking time to leave a review. We are so glad that you managed to enjoy some local highlights and really hope that you come again someday. Regards Sam x

Lovely holiday cottage. Perfect for our young family as it was mostly on one floor and the garden was safe and enclosed. Kids loved the wendy house and the adults loved the hot tub! The only criticism was that the dishwasher was not working - it could not heat the water so we had to do a lot of handwashing, and this property was partly chosen because it had a dishwasher and we wanted to get away from the chores for a week! We did mention this to the owners but it was not fixed during the duration of our stay.

Beautiful house, lovely setting. House has everything you need and more. Beds are comfy and furnishings are modern and clean. Website photos don’t do the house justice in our opinion, though they look good, in reality the house is even better. Lovely extra touches like a treasure hunt through the forest, a cake and wine as well as dog treats and dog towels should you need them. Hot tub was great fun and house is baby friendly too. The owners couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and definitely return. Would maybe suggest a bigger sofa if was going to criticise anything.

We had a wonderful stay in The Old Dairy! The cottage was bright, cosy and well equipped. The beds were extremely comfortable, which isn’t always the case in holiday rentals. And in a lovely, quiet semi rural location. Sula, our cockapoo loved the garden! Sam was so welcoming and amenable! We will definitely be back!

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Hi Natasha, It was so lovely to meet you, your mother and of course Sula. We are delighted that you enjoyed it so much at the Old Dairy and really hope that you come to visit us again. Good luck with your search for a cottage to make your home in Dorset... a beautiful place to inspire artists. Sam x

We had the most amazing holiday at the old dairy. From the minute we drove up to the house we knew we had made the right choice. The house is perfect in every way: comfortable, great location, everything you need within easy access, the house has everything you need for a relaxing or adventure filled holiday. Kids loved the games room and meeting the other kids in the other cottage. They especially loved the treasure hunt! Nice little touch. Dorset has so much to offer for all age groups and this is the perfect base to explore this beautiful county. I can’t rate the old dairy highly enough you won’t regret booking here it’s wonderful.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Wow Eve. Thank you so much for that lovely review... so glad you all had a good time. We hope to be able to welcome you again. Sam x
