Description

Tranquillity, views and a gentle stream add to the charm of this cottage which lies in the North York Moors.

This charming, Grade II listed holiday cottage boasts an idyllic, wonderfully tranquil honeypot location in the heart of the North York Moors, enhanced by breathtaking views. Adjoining another property, it is 3 miles from picturesque Castleton and Danby. The trickle of the meandering stream soothes the stress of everyday life, and many footpaths can be accessed from the garden via a little wooden bridge. A short drive leads to bustling Whitby and coastal villages of Robin Hoods Bay and Runswick Bay. Shops 2 miles.

Spacious living/dining room with rugs on wooden floor and range with open fire. Modern well-equipped fitted kitchen with ceramic-tiled floor. First floor: Two bedrooms, each with wooden floor and wooden ceiling; one double with countryside views and original cast-iron fire surround, and one twin. Owners nearby if required but very respectful of privacy. Cottage beautiful, comfortable and well appointed. Local amenities less available but this is also part of the cottage's charm - that it is in the middle of nowhere! But good facilities available within reasonable distance (10-15 miles). Closest e.g. pub, tea room etc high quality and signposted by owners for guests to try if they wish.
