Beckaveans Stable is situated on a working farm, and close to the beautiful North Cornish coast.

Perfect for couples or a small family looking for a rural and peaceful spot away from the hustle and bustle of modern life, yet close to the amazing North Cornish coastline. Beckaveans is home to the award-winning pedigree Beckaveans herd of South Devon cattle. The picturesque seaside village of Crackington is 4 miles away and Davidstow, where the well known cheese originates, is 7 miles away. The A39 Atlantic Highway is nearby making this a perfect location for exploring this dramatic coastline. There are many interesting places to visit, including the seaside resort of Bude, the village of Boscastle, Tintagel, the legendary home of King Arthur and Port Isaac where Doc Martin is filmed. There are many fabulous beaches for swimming, surfing and building sandcastles. Each cottage has a rear sitting-out area with garden furniture. They both have full oil central heating and the granary has a lovely wood burner in the living room, making them ideal for holidays throughout the year. Beach 3½ miles. Although out of season for the area we enjoyed our stay. It was a little noisy with cows giving birth, but we were warned it was a working farm. The hosts were really friendly and available, but not intrusive. The cream tea on arrival was greatly appreciated. We would consider a return.

We had a lovely New Year spent at the Beckaveans Stable. On arrival we had a warm welcome from the owners Ada & Russell, along with a yummy Cornish Cream Tea. The Cottage was great with a very cosy feel, a real home from home. Made festive for us with a decorated Christmas Tree. It's location is well placed for some lovely coastal walks along with sightseeing trips to Padstow, Port Issac, Jamaica Inn & Bodmin Jail. We can highly recommend the coastal walks from Tintagel to Bocastle and Widemouth Bay to Bude. We would definitely recommend this Cottage and hope to revisit soon. Louise & Jon Leicestershire

The welcome was wonderful,a brilliant transformation of an old stable. The local shop stocked the basics, but it was 8 miles to the nearest large supermarket. There is a local pub serving meals and some meals were takeaway but we did not try. we were revisiting the area after 20 years, but found the distance to travel to tourist spots etc further than we remembered. This was no fault of the cottage owners though, but ours for not researching properly before booking.
