What a wonderful stay we had at Barwick. It was like a home for home! We decided to do a break away to celebrate my grandmother 90th Birthday and she loved it. The property was so clean, warm and inviting. Within great walking distance to the local shop and pub which was perfect. We have already been talking about making Barwick out annual family trip now. Cannot wait to come back! :-)

This is a very spacious well equipped property in very good condition. The large enclosed garden was Ideal for our dogs and we really enjoyed the Hot Tub. We had a family group of of a wide range of ages but this was not a problem in this house with such good accommodation.we also enjoyed visiting the village pub which is a short work from the house.Overall we had a great time and very much enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful cottage for a family Christmas of 10 people over 3 generations. 3 generous bedrooms downstairs and 3 further ones upstairs, one with a massive ensuite. Showers were cubicles not just over bath combinations. 2 fridge freezers meant we had plenty of space for food storage and a large range cooker enabled us to cook for all easily. Quirky hatch from the kitchen to dining room made serving easy too. The middle generation of 20 somethings spent so much time in the hot tub I think they all grew webbed feet! Elsa, Richard and Paul all made sure that this was in tip top condition while we were there as well, checking the temperature and Ph daily. The house is set up with a lounge downstairs off the dining room and a large space upstairs with a balcony and a snug corner. This enabled us all to get away from or get together as and when we wanted to. The beds were all very comfy and had nice linens and towels. One thing that stood out for us was the hot water system. Despite 10 of us having morning showers within an hour or so there was never any pressure drop or lack of hot water - we were very impressed. Little things like the 2 stylish Christmas trees, lit swags around the bannister, mince pies and cream on arrival and a dog welcome basket were the icing on the cake that is Barwick. Everyone agreed that if we can all get the holiday allocation we will be booking again.

We had a brilliant time at Barwick. The house was beautiful and spacious, and it was the most well-equipped holiday kitchen we'd ever seen! There were 10 of us, as well as two babies and pets, yet we had plenty of room for everyone and even managed to cook and serve a full (early) Christmas dinner! The surrounding areas were stunning too, we had some gorgeous walks. Thank you so much to Elsa for all the extra little touches and help you provided, we had a lovely mini-holiday and highly recommend Barwick to others.

What an absolutely fabulous place! Spotlessly clean, lots of space, beautiful views, we could not fault it! We booked for a 70th birthday celebration and had every generation stay from 2 to 72 and we all throughly enjoyed it. Elsa (owner) was an exemplary hostess attending to our every need and leaving us a homemade cream tea to kick off the weekend, delicious! Add to this pub is perfect for a pint and the shop stocks anything you may have forgotten. Would highly recommend!!!!!

We started the holiday with a lovely welcome Devon cream tea, perfect after a long journey. Although the hot tub was unavailable this didn’t spoil our holiday. Everything was close by and the owners were easily contactable.

An extremely spacious, well equipped house. Beautifully clean! Comfortable beds and soft fluffy towels. Brand new hot tub, a real bonus! Delicious cream tea on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner. Great location for exploring this part of Devon.

This is a lovely property in an idyllic setting. Spacious and safe grounds for both dogs and children. The house is ideal for large families with plenty of 'breakout space' for both people and oldies to feel at ease. It's well equipped, and we lacked nothing. Our whole family thought it was great and would certainly consider it again. Fabulous! Thank you, Elsa and Richard for making us feel so welcome!
