Cycle hire on Monsal Trail, 1 mile. Golf and horse riding can both be found locally. Shop on campsite, 300 yards, pub 1 mile.

    We have stayed at Barn End Cottage every spring for the last 5 years. It is of an extremely high standard, well equipped, clean and comfortable. We always get a friendly welcome and look forward to our visits. The location makes it ideal for walking and visiting all that the Peak District has to offer. Barn End Cottage is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

    One of the loveliest cottages we have stayed at. Friendly owners and really well equipped. Comfy beds and sofas and a beautiful view. Lots of places to visit nearby as well as excellent restaurants and great pubs... What more could you ask for? We will definitely recommend to family and friends and hope to visit again ourselves.

    We had a great time, cottage is in a very rural location, very central for all of the tourist attractions, but away from everyone when you want to be. Great location for walking. Excellent pub in nearby Chelmorton. Cottage was comfortable with everything we needed. Underfloor heating in the hall area is excellent for drying your walking boots!

    Ideal property for a relaxing holiday. Cosy, comfortable, home from home. Owners friendly and welcoming, on hand if needed but not intrusive.Plenty of places to visit within easy driving distance. Small shop along the road.

    Happy to recommend the cottage. Kitchen spotless and really well equipped. Spent quite a bit of time sat round the kitchen table. The view from the sitting room is simply gorgeous. Do note that there is no wifi to speak of for most of the time - erratic connection if any at all. Owners were so welcoming and friendly: felt they were on hand if needed as they live on site, but not really aware of them outside the warm greeting. They were incredibly helpful with returning some items I had overlooked when leaving: my sincere thanks to them!

    A well placed cottage for touring the area with friendly owners on site. Close enough to the A6 to be easily accessed but far enough back from it not to be bothered by noise. Take slippers - the stone stairs are cold on bare feet.
