Haydon Bridge offers ample facilities only 4 miles east and Haltwhistle, geographically acknowledged as ’the Centre of Britain’ and has many amenities including several shops, restaurants, a sports centre and an outdoor swimming pool, equidistant west. The historic market town of Hexham, dominated by its majestic abbey offers an abundance of amenities 11 miles east.
