There are many nearby activities to enjoy at Bank House or relax in the living room and admire the views!

Gloriously situated right on the waterfront with views over the Menai Strait across to the mountains of Snowdonia, Bank House is a spacious, terraced, late Georgian Grade II listed property, in the heart of the pretty town of Beaumaris. The living room is a great place to sit and watch the world go by, looking out at the splendid views. From the front door you simply cross the road and you’re by the sea! Children will love crabbing from the nearby pier, or indeed taking a boat trip to Puffin Island, whilst there are many individual shops to browse. Mighty Beaumaris Castle (a World Heritage Site) is well worth a visit, together with the gaol and courthouse. There is a wide choice of excellent hotels, restaurants, cafes and the Red Boat Ice Cream shop, all within walking distance. Further afield is the impressive Plas Newydd (National Trust), home of Lady Anglesey, whilst children will love visiting Foel Farm Park in nearby Brynsiencyn. Of course, it is only a short distance back over the bridges to the mainland to the beautiful Snowdonia National Park with its wonderful scenery and pretty villages. Beach 25 yards. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

We had a lovely break at Bank House. As others have stated, I hadn't realised that we didnt have the whole ' house' but having gone back to the details it does state this in the info. This didn't affect our break at all. There were 8 of us and we all had more than enough room. The accommodation was VERY well equipped. Dish washer, washing machine, wi-fi....everything was there- can't think of anything that wasn't. The only teeny issue was that the lighting was poor in kitchen and lounge. There were only 2 spot loghts working in the kitchen, I would have changed them myself, but as in most period properties, the ceilings are high and I couldn't reach. The location was faultless, very central to lots of amenities. Everything was within walking distance. Would recommend a stay here. It was very peaceful with lots of special touches like welcome tray and luxourious bubble baths. Thank You for sharing your property. Will come back again.

There were a number of issues with our stay at Bank House that unfortunately meant that our holiday was not as comfortable and enjoyable as it should have been. First and foremost, Bank House is not a house but an apartment/flat accessed by a shared door and flight of stairs. This was a was not clear from the description of the accommodation when booked and it caused us serious problems given that one of our party was an 80 year old with poor mobility as well as a 13 year old arthritic dog. As you can imagine this was a real inconvenience and had it been clear from the description we would not have booked bank House for this family holiday. On the day we arrived we were unable to get access to the accommodation until after 5:00pm as the cleaners were 'running behind' and there was a problem with the toilet that the previous guests had failed to report that they were trying to resolve (this wasn't fixed until mid way through our stay). While it was clear parking space was for one car only, there was a number of times when we were blocked in by other cars and work vans also parking in the drive. On a few occasions we were unable to find the owners of the cars/vans to get our car out and as a result had to leave it where it was, a significant inconvenience! This leads on to a further point; during our stay at Bank House renovation work was being undertaken on the ground floor, this resulted in drilling, banging and work vans coming and going. We were not made aware of that this work was being undertaken or that it would interrupt what we had expected to be a peaceful relaxing holiday. While the issues outlined resulted in a hugely disappointing experience overall , it is fair to say that the accommodation is in an ideal location and has a outstanding outlook. The Kitchen is brilliant for everyone to gather and socialise especially larger parties like ours. The bedrooms on the upper floor are spacious but the loft/roof floor would benefit from an additional bathroom. The main bathroom itself would also be much improved if a shower cubicle could be included. In summary, Bank House was nice enough and Beaumaris is a brilliant location but unfortunately had we known that the accommodation was an apartment and that building work was ongoing while we were there we would not have booked it.

Beautiful house. Building work taking place downstairs at visit. New tearoom being fashioned. May make it noisey rental in future. Had a lovely holiday though. Great views from lounge window. Third floor beds a bit uncomfortable.
