The property is located at the end of a quiet road with no passing traffic, enabling you to enjoy the peace and beautiful surroundings in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in this part of the island.
The property accommodates six guests and is comfortably furnished with two double and two single bedrooms, family bathroom and separate shower room, fully fitted kitchen and open plan living/dining room. The bungalow also benefits from a large garden mainly laid to lawn at the front, with a further grassed area to the rear and a large rockery. There is a decked outdoor seating area at the front, and another seating area at the top of a rockery on the east side of the front garden.
From the bungalow you can take a pleasant stroll, 10–15 minutes, along the footpath to Woody Bay. A 10-minute drive will take you into Ventnor, a Victorian seaside town with buildings full of character. In addition to the main shopping street where you will find a selection of small supermarkets, there are parks and gardens, museums and the Winter Gardens - an entertainment venue with a growing reputation for theatre, concerts, comedy and dance shows and of course the restaurant/bar. On the way to Ventnor town you will pass Steephill Cove where you will find a café and restaurant among the handful of cottages nestled behind this beautiful sandy beach.
Unfortunately, most of the beach disappears during high-tide, however, during low-tide, there are numerous rock-pools for the kids to investigate. Ventnor Botanic Garden lies in the remarkable microclimate at the heart of the famous ’Undercliff.’ This unique garden is protected from the cold northerly winds by chalk downs. In addition to enjoying the lovely gardens, it also hosts events and exhibitions and there is a restaurant and café on-site for refreshments, lunch, or coffee and cake.
