Ardura Lodge offers bright open spaces to relax and enjoy the scenery and wildlife of the estate. Filled with character and providing a hub close to beaches, cycling routes and boat trips.
Ardura Lodge is a welcoming, traditional country lodge set within peaceful gardens on the Isle of Mull, offering a wonderfully relaxed base for families and friends. Sleeping up to eight guests with a couple of babies, the lodge combines classic charm with comfort and space, making it ideal for a memorable island holiday.
Downstairs, the lodge really comes into its own as a place to gather. The double lounge is warm and inviting, with a wood-burning stove that makes it especially appealing after a day outdoors. A more formal dining room with seating for ten is perfect for shared meals, while a playroom just off the lounge gives children their own space without being far away. The kitchen is the heart of the house, welcoming and full of character, with an oil-fuelled Aga. The kitchen table sits in the middle of the room and is a favourite spot to linger for hours, enjoying a drink, some nibbles, and good conversation.
Upstairs, all of the bedrooms are well maintained and enjoy lovely views around the lodge gardens, where it’s not unusual to spot deer quietly wandering past the windows, especially in the early morning or evening. The spacious family bedroom has a cot already in situ, an en-suite bathroom with a bath, and its own study area, perfect for parents needing a quiet corner. Children can choose between two comfortable bedrooms, while the other adults can settle into either the super-king-size bedroom or the cosy double. There are two further bathrooms upstairs, one of which has a shower over the bath, ensuring plenty of space and convenience for everyone.
The Ardura Estate offers lovely walks straight from the door, winding through woodland and open ground with beautiful views and abundant wildlife. It is also home to Highland cattle and Blackface sheep. Nearby, there are many more walks to enjoy, from gentle coastal strolls to longer hill and forest routes. While on Mull, guests can explore dramatic beaches, spot otters, sea eagles and whales, visit Tobermory’s colourful harbour, take boat trips to nearby islands including Iona with its famous Abbey, or enjoy cycling, kayaking, and historic sites such as Duart Castle. Ardura Lodge is a peaceful retreat with adventure and beauty all around.
