A fantastic cottage. Clean and comfortable with everything that you could think of. Don’t worry if you have forgotten about a bottle opener because the owners haven’t and the cream tea they left for us on arrival was the best in Devon. Narrow lanes the only negative, but you get used to them.

We had a wonderful short break at Annie’s cottage. Sally and Christopher were very welcoming but not intrusive. Very comfortable cottage and beautifully refurbished to a high standard. The moor is great and very local for exploring. The village the cottage is in is quaint and friendly and the local pub excellent and very dog friendly! We hope to visit again and have a longer stay next time.

The cottage was everything we needed for the two of us to enjoy a few days walking up on the moor and enjoying local National Trust properties. The bedroom with its delightful high ceiling, overlooks a stream with ducks and some chickens in a nearby garden. The bed is very comfortable and the shower in the generously sized washroom can be set to be powerful. Downstairs the cottage has been tastefully designed to provide everything we needed for our stay. We also enjoyed sitting out on chairs beside the stream at the end of the day.. The parking place is very near the cottage and easy to use. Everything was just as we wanted, and we hope we get a chance to return.

Overall excellent. Unfortunately only a 9 for comfort and equipment. Whilst the cottage was generally well equipped to a high standard rather surprisingly there was only one saucepan (plus a milk pan). Cooking potatoes and veg requires ingenuity.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We had noticed the cheese grater was missing and had replaced it but had overlooked the large saucepan had gone on its travels too. We will buy a new saucepan this week.

We had a great stay at Annie's Cottage! The perfect size and location for our needs. A fantastic local pub and friendly locals, who helped us when we had a puncture. We are already planning our next visit to Milton Combe!
