Anchor Cottage is located in a conservation area within the stunning town of Deal on the coast of Kent, and is a comfortable terraced property built in the 1800s, and has a few characterful low door lintels. Set in the quiet small back streets of Deal, yet in a central position, it is just a short stroll to the amenities and history Deal has to offer. There is an 18th-century pub and micro ale house/cocktail bar within a few minutes’ walk, and very good restaurant within 5 minutes’ walk. The quirky style of this holiday property boasts a quaint open-plan kitchen with dining area and a welcoming living room, two bedrooms and a bathroom with a Victorian style roll-top bath. With local attractions on your doorstep, as well as excellent fishing on the pier, Anchor Cottage will be a great base for couples and seaside enthusiasts. Locally, there is a number of shops, bars and restaurants, and Walmer and Deal castles are also popular attractions. Broadstairs is a short drive with its award-winning beach at Viking Bay, or for a touch of history and culture, take a short drive, train or bus into the famous city of Canterbury, walk around the ancient city walls and explore the fantastic cathedral. For a trip further afield why not go to France for the day on one of the many daily ferry services from Dover. Beach 500 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

We've had a lovely holiday at the Achor cottage. The cottage is furnished with a sense of taste! We felt very much at home due to the friendliness of the hostess on arrival and the welcome package. Everything we need was there and more!

A very warm welcome from Lorraine. There was a lovely welcome pack which included flowers, cream cakes, bread etc. and included a little treat for Peggy our dog. A beautiful little cottage seconds from the sea and all amenities. Could not have asked for more. The parking permit was a plus. Parking within a minute's walk. We will definitely be returning and would not hesitate in recommening to family and friends.

Just Perfect!! From the warmest of welcomes and wonderful array of treats to the well equipped, comfortable and cosy cottage... Only a couple of minutes walk from the seafront and shops and with lots to do in the local area as well as further afield... Lorraine was so helpful when we arrived making sure we had everything we needed and also giving us lots of useful information and advice for our stay. We would thoroughly recommend Anchor Cottage and will definitely be booking again for our next visit. Thank you

The cottage is lovely and very close to both the sea front and pier as well as the high street. It is a comfortable cottage and always made very welcome by the owner. A place we have returned to many times.

Bijou cosy cottage. Clean and well equipped, low head height in kitchen and bathroom. Helpful owner provided welcome extra items and has tried hard to think of items useful to holiday makers. Most suited to couples or families with children older than toddlers as steep stairs to second bedroom. Super comfy beds. Well placed in deal for beach, shops, restaurants and pubs, can walk everywhere in the town. Town has a range of independent shops and restaurants. 6 pubs within 5 minutes stroll.Permit for parking provided but no issues getting a space nearby except on sunny Saturday- not peak season Would be pleased to return

Lovely cottage in a superb location. Anchor cottage was spotlessly clean, modern and cosy. There are so many lovely eateries nearby, so great to have everything within walking distance. Plenty to visit by car too.

Anchor Cottage is a gem tucked just behind the seafront in the desirable northern quarter of Deal. Very clean, extremely comfortable and conveniently located, it's wonderfully quiet, yet within walking distance of all the usual town centre amenities and train station. Parking is a two minute walk to a local car park (permit supplied). The owner was attentive, flexible and unobtrusive. Although it's called a cottage it is actually a small three-storey house. Considering what it offers and the value for money afforded, why would you want ever stay in a more expensive hotel? I would thoroughly recommend Anchor Cottage. I had a fantastic stay.
