This wonderful stone built mid terraced townhouse can be found centrally positioned within the historic Peak Park village of Tideswell. Renovated throughout in 2021 the accommodation is beautifully and spaciously spread out over three floors and is within easy reach of the ample local shops, cafés and country inns that Tideswell has to offer. Famous for its fine church dedicated to St John the Baptist, ’The Cathedral of the Peak’, Tideswell is an attractive Derbyshire village and is surrounded by some of the most beautiful limestone uplands in the area. Tideswell Wakes Week is held every June and dating back almost 750 years coincides with the village’s annual Well Dressing ceremony and the church’s Festival for St John the Baptist.
Excellent walks radiate from the area including to the beautiful nature reserve of Tideswell Dale, the Cressbrook Nature Reserve, Monksdale and the neighbouring villages of Millers Dale and Litton. Both the Monsal Trail and Limestone way can also be reached on foot from the cottage. By car most of the main Peak District attractions are within a 20-minute drive including the spa town of Buxton, Mam Tor and Castleton, the ever-popular market town of Bakewell and the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire’s Chatsworth House.
