The main garden has a beautiful covered dining area with lighting and screening foliage, along with a stone firepit and seating area, perfect for making the most of the evenings. This area follows onto the rear patio with views of the brook and the glorious hot tub. Off the patio is the enclosed lawn, perfect for children to play and enjoy the views from the large swing and other outdoor play equipment provided. Finally there is the Secret Garden; tucked away along the side of the brook, cosy seating and subtle lighting hides behind the arch and is the perfect spot for quiet contemplation and escape. A public footpath runs along the lane of the property so you are immediately linked to the extensive network of footpaths in the Ashover Parish and beyond.

Chatsworth House is just a 15-minute trip, as are Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall, and the nearest town is Matlock, full of attractions and amenities. There is a beautiful park, the attractions of Matlock Bath and the Heights of Abraham (a hilltop park), as well as a popular golf course and antique shops. Bakewell, with its bustling farmers’ market, boutique shops and riverside activity, is just 20 minutes away, and is a perfect gateway to both the Dark Peak and White Peak areas that this stunning region is known for.
