Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. I was abit unsure at first after reading previous reviews about the cleanliness but once we arrived I thought it had been done to a very good standard. Everything was very clean and was very well equipped. We would definitely recommend this property and would definitely stay again.

We did enjoy our few days at Allonby. The Barn was warm, spacious and comfortable - unfortunately, there were some minor problems - we found the cooker hood was quite mucky. The smoke detector was in the wrong place - as any grilling or toasting was not easy to do without setting the detector off immediately. It would also have been a good idea to have an oven instruction leaflet and we would certainly expect to find a hair dryer and washing-up implements.

Lovely holiday property, lots of nice touches like TV in both bedrooms and lovely electric fire. Modern style and comfy furniture. only downside was WIFI wasn’t working. Village is quiet but beach and views are lovely. There are 2 pubs, a shop and a chip shop. It’s an ideal base for visiting the lakes which are only a short drive away, at a much cheaper price than properties within the Lake District.

The owner was very helpful and addressed any small problems but failed when it came to getting the winfi turned on I did enjoy having a TV in every room and the bedroom TV also had a X box installed and could play DVDs.
