Cottage very well presented with only minor negatives. Kitchen needs a bread knife. Outside large table needs a sun umbrella and there also needs to be a small side table outside to move around the garden with the chairs. Other than it was an ideal cottage, location and the owners kept their distance but were also approachable. When considering booking this cottage guests should be made aware that the approach to the cottage is down a mile long narrow road from North Perrot and the second part of this road is unmade and not suitable for cars with low suspensions such as sports cars. Having said that the cottage is worth the drive down the road.

This a perfect example of how holiday let's should be, quality fit & finish everywhere. Beautiful location, there is only one issue which is the 0.6 mile road/track to the property if you have an MPV or similar then it is not a problem, a normal loaded saloon needs to take it slowly. Very highly recommended we would certainly rent again.

Highly recommended, peaceful, great country walks, superb views. Plenty of wildlife. Easy reach of the coast. Very clean and comfortable. Wi-fi available. Friendly and helpful owners. Only concern was the risk of ‘grounding’ the car on the drive to and from the cottage in Wood Lane and attempting to avoid the pot holes.

Very relaxing break. Acorn cottage was ideal for my elderly mum to move about and enjoy a stress free holiday. The wonderful 'welcome pack' was delicious. Watching the birdlife right outside our windows was a real highlight. Everything we needed was provided. Thank you.

This was our second visit to Acorn Cottage and it won't be our last. It's a little gem with everything one could need for an enjoyable stay. The owners and staff of the dairy farm that the cottage lies in couldn't be more helpful with a welcome basket of goodies provided and prompt attention given if we needed anything. There were just the two of us but the cottage would be fine for a family or two couples. The location, near North Perrott is a little of the beaten track and necessitates a somewhat bumpy drive down a long lane but the quietness of the farm easily makes up for that. If you are a wildlife lover as we are, there are many species of garden birds that visit the garden feeders and, if you are lucky like we were, deer too. We had a lovely time.

This was our second visit to Acorn Cottage and it felt great when we walked back in again. This is the place to come if you need to re charge your batteries and who doesn’t need that every now and then. The local garden centre has a great shop with lots of local products and a small cafe and the white horse pub in haselbury plunknett the place to have Sunday lunch but book early. Clark’s village in street is a great day out but the best part of any day is returning to Acorn cottage.

Acorn cottage is a beautiful place to stay if exploring Dorset and Somerset. Accommodation was great. Very clean and warm. Comfortable beds and very well equipped kitchen. The welcome pack of food provided by the owner was great. Surrounded by countryside and an amazing number of birds which visited the feeders around the cottage. Within easy driving distance of the coast and great places to walk. Owners very welcoming and helpful.

An excellently maintained and well fitted out cottage with a very comfortable feel. Plenty of character and tasteful decoration add to the welcome as did a generous welcome pack. We have already booked to revisit Acorn Cottage in the spring
