Peaceful cottage up a quiet lane. Small but very stylish and well equipped. Huge wood burner. Walking anywhere requires going along quite narrow and surprisingly busy local roads. There is a bus service but the last bus back is about 6 in the evening. A car would be better.

This was our third visit to Healey Cottage. Unfortunately our stay was cut short and we had to leave early due to ill health. The owners could not have been more sympathetic, with some good fortune we hope in the future that we will be able to return and enjoy the promised Christmas that we had planned for at this idyllic cottage.

Booked a week here at short notice after our kitchen refit overran. The cottage was terrific in every way, well equipped, comfortable, tastefully decorated with a lovely cottage garden. Our hosts who live next door were kindness itself with a nice welcome pack and & good advice on local things to see & do. Plenty of great walking right off the doorstep with a lovely bridleway down into nearby Kirkburton ( local Co-op). We had our dog with us so she appreciated the great woodland walks & quiet laneways. Plenty of places to eat nearby and a good old fashioned "local" the Rising Sun just down the lane. Highly recommend this cottage.

As many other guests have said the the standard of this cottage is exceptional particularly for a property that allows a pet. A lot of thought has gone into the comfort of visitors and the welcome pack of bread, milk, butter, tea, coffee, biscuits and wine was much appreciated. The location is perfect for walking and sightseeing. We have stayed in several really nice cottages but this was definately the best, well worth a visit.
