We have just spend a lovely week at Honey Bee. Found the cottage spacious, warm, welcoming and equipped with everything we needed as well as surprise extras! Perfect place to stay with a dog and was able to enjoy relaxing baths after long walks around the village as the hot water was plentiful. The local shop has all you need or Dingwall is not far away. It was ideal to have the owners not too far from the cottage in case of any problems (which there were none!) but far enough away to have privacy. We will certainly be returning in the not to distant future.

Honey Bee was OK for what we wished to do whilst in that area, but we didn't rate the heating system very efficient, couldn't get the towel rail to work in bathroom (no instructions), constant water under cistern , which we had to wipe up (probably due to condensation) . Bathroom could definitely do with modernisation. Generally a lack of instructions for equipment, old worn-out heating switches just left on walls. Told not to use radiator in hall as it would stop all heaters working. No instructions as to what to do with the key on departure. Never met the owner at all.

Our second time at Honey Bee Cottage and we had another fantastic holiday. Very cosy and comfortable - we loved the sun room for a nice glass of wine!! Central location in a lovely friendly village. Fantastic walks from the door - we found lots of new ones this time which our dog Lily thoroughly enjoyed. A lovely welcome pack which made us feel very welcome and Kate is super - making sure everything was to our satisfaction. Highly recommend this cottage.

This was our second stay at this cottage for the annual Strathpuffer 24 hour mountain bike event and we were delighted to secure this cottage again, it is very comfortable, clean and very well equipped, the decor is a little dated but this only adds to the charm,

Loved Strathpeffer (beautiful countryside) and the cottage - bay window, stained glass windows, solid wooden doors, garden, handiness for shops and facilities etc. Wished we had been warned of Friday night disco just across the road in the pavilion. Endured thumping loud music until midnight. Not what we expected in quiet village, where we went for peace and tranquillity.

A lovely cottage located just off the village square with its little parade of shops. A good base to explore the Black Isle and Easter Ross. Strathpeffer is quiet and tranquil although it's a shame the station hasn't seen a train for over 60 years. A larger supermarket and some superb small shops are available in Dingwall, a few minutes drive away. Dingwall has a limited rail service, but bus services are much more frequent. Ample parking close to the cottage. Very generous "welcome pack" including wine and chocolates.
