Overall this is a nice holiday cottage, barring a couple of niggles: Firstly, the curtains in the front bedroom were a bit thin, which didn't help with getting our two month old off to sleep (or keeping her asleep for that little bit longer in the morning); Second, the front bedroom appears practically impossible to cool down - we were down for the really hot week in July and even with the top flap windows open all day when we would get back in the evening it was 30 degrees in there (according to our baby monitor) and even opening the main windows only seemed to knock the temperature down a couple of degrees, which didn't help baby or us sleep. The cottage is well situated for trips to the coast or to Norwich and there's plenty to see and do nearby (just not a lot in the village itself)

Yare cottage is in a lovely position overlooking the river and the marshes. We had some really good meals in the Ship pub. The cottage could do with a little talc.

Beautiful location and view, only downfall was very sensitive plumbing system (toilets). Long walk to station and poor bus service. Very helpful and friendly owners.

The neighbours were helpful and my mother took the opportunity to chat with them. We found good pubs in Reedham and Cantly and the local shop opens 8am – 8pm. The local railway station is a 15 minute walk, which makes it a viable alternative for getting to Norwich, Lowestoft and Yarmouth. Although travel would be restricted without a car. In May when we visited, there was plenty of public parking for us, opposite the house. In conclusion, we had a lovely holiday in Yare Cottage.

From the moment we walked in this felt like home. The amount of equipment provided was impressive - hand blender for instance - and there were some great touches such as the touch lights on the headboards of the bunkbeds which my little uns loved. There were even some games such as dominoes, connect 4 etc to keep them occupied. There are 2 TVs, both with inbuilt DVDs, very comfortable, warm beds and plenty of storage. Parking is available right outside the cottage, as is the river Yare.
