Loved our stay here for my dad's 60th birthday. The bungalow is lovely and we received a very warm welcome from the owners who live in the adjoining property. We stayed at the beginning of February and it was a very cold weekend weather wise, with flurries of sleet and snow, but the bungalow was nice and warm, and had everything we needed. Pam, the owner, even baked us a cake for our arrival and left us eggs and butter - a very nice touch! Just a couple of things that would have improved the bungalow for us - the games room was very cold - it is in an extension to the bungalow and at the time of year we stayed it was difficult to enjoy the darts and table tennis available in here, which was something we were looking forward to. A small portable heater or something would have made this room much more useable. The wifi was also a bit temperamental and often couldn't be accessed in the lounge area - we didn't really need it but it was a bit inconvenient at times. All in all a very relaxing break away with everything we needed and plenty of space for a family of 8 adults, 2 children and a dog! Thank you!

We all had a lovely time, loved everything apart from the minuet basket of logs available. As the living room has insufficient heating to warm up without the fire. The only other logs available were wet. Would stay again

We were a family group of 6 adults and 2 teenagers and found the space in the bungalow excellent. The girls and their parents enjoyed the games room. We all enjoyed walking in the country park plus visiting the Peak District's attractions.

Woodend is a lovely place and enormous, very well equipped with nearly everything you could possibly need. A lovely home baked cake on arrival with a well equipped welcome pack. The only reason we wouldn't return is because both myself and daughter are disabled and although I can walk even I found he step from the drive into the garden and the front door step too high to handle. Also I think a chair in the big shower room could help people less abled bodied.

Fabulous cottage with everything you could ever need! Amazing setting and the best view anyone could wish for! Welcomed with a hike made cake and the essentials for the start of your holiday and hosts were friendly, welcoming and just lovely! Will certainly be coming back and there is so much to do in the area that we didn't get to do!
