We had a wonderful stay with our two miniature Schauzers, for 6 nights, we arrived on the Saturday, the owners greeted us and showed us around West Hurscott Cottage, explaining everything. It started to snow & by Sunday morning we were snowed in, for two days. Most beautiful views from the cottages , lovely dog friendly garden. The cottage was warm & cosy & had everything you needed. We shall definitely return next year.

Beautiful cottage, a home from home, with everything you need to make your stay stress free. Very comfortable, easy to spend time in the cottage relaxing as well as being a great location for access to all areas. Lovely views, fell in love with Ned, the goat. Would not hesitate to return.

A fantastic place. The owner was there to meet us and to show us around. The cottage itself is beautiful, lots of character due to its age ,very spacious and clean. It is a good location as only a few minutes drive for all the amenities at Barnstaple. The garden was great and secure for our little dog also we loved the animals in the field next door especially Ned the goat who is very friendly if he sees a carrot or two.Overall we had fabulous time and would definitely come back to stay

Had a great time at the cottage. Really well equipped and very spacious. Barnstaple and all its many services and amenities just a short drive away. We were well placed for exploring the major attractions of North Devon and the cream tea/flowers on arrival were a lovely touch. Would definitely return.

A Lovely cottage to spend a holiday, a bit hard to find but well worth the stay. A lovely touch with cream teas waiting for us. I doubt if we could have found a nicer place to stay. Very relaxing having breakfast on the patio or in the conservatory. We stayed during the hottest week in June yet the cottage was nice and cool inside. It was me and my girlfriends first holiday and we did not want to leave. Brian & Linda

The cottage was a lot bigger than we were expecting, and the main bedroom definately has the WOW factor! Every care was taken to meet our needs from a dog bed and bowls to an extensive library[there were so many I wanted to read!],games, puzzles and if you have younger children a pram and lego. The garden was ideal for our dogs , who liked watching the coming and goings of the sheep, and were bemused by "Ned" the goat. It was certainly a lovely place to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary.

Cottage is very good with everything you need. The only minor problem was that it is quite remote and the roads are very narrow when getting back and forth to the cottage.

Great cottage, could not believe the amount of space we had - the photographs don't do it justice. Loads of room for 2 adults and 2 big golden retrievers.
