The area is a must for watersports, sailing enthusiasts and fishermen, whilst walkers and cyclists will enjoy the famous Tarka Trail which passes close by.

Golf is available locally, and Bideford is just 3 miles away, with family attractions including The Big Sheep and The Milky Way adventure parks. Lovely house, stunning views and great location. The few short steps to the beach, John's Deli (great breakfasts!)and the Quay Inn were taken very regularly! Our Frenchie loved it too, will definitely be staying again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Waters Edge on spite of stormy weather - to be expected in January I guess! Great location with bus links to many places... We would like to stay again.

Wonderful comfortable place Welcome pack and fresh roses awaited. Although it was winter it was warm except for the attic room though there was an oiled fill radiator. Perfect for beach holiday. Could do with second bathroom as it did get busy in the mornings.

Lovely house with a great location and beautiful views over the Estuary. The only downside is the proximity to the road and therefore the traffic noise in the front bedrooms.

Great location in Instow. Just a few minutes walk to the beach and John's is a great local convenience. Our Cocker Spaniel loves the beach.

We where a bit wary of staying in a cottage that allows animals as we are not animal owners, but we didn't need to worry, the house was spotless and apart from the kennel in the garden you would never know a dog had been in the house. It was so clean and tidy, and no smell. The view from the living room is amazing, looking out over the estuary and the beach is just around the corner. Johns shop about 4 doors down sells everything you could ask for, and there is a lovely pub/restaurant next door. My daughter was on the beach everyday. We had lovely weather and would definitely recommend to anybody. We will hopefully be going back soon.

We had 7 people, 3 generations and 1 dog. our holiday experience at Waters edge was great, lovely house which was well equipped and very clean. We have stayed at so called dog friendly cottages before but seem to be full of rules such as No dog upstairs, No dog on furniture, No dog this and that but Waters Edge was very welcoming. The beach also was wonderful, and we took full advantage of the water sports available. The location was very convenient and we took trips to Ilfracombe and Port Isaac. All in all Waters Edge made for a great family holiday and we would very much like to visit again.

This was the second time we have stayed in this property. Lovely location, great for visiting many attractions in the area. Quiet spot with plenty of good eating places within easy walking distance. Only down side is the single bathroom.
