With waterside views, this stunning house sits next to the beach and with fantastic views this is an ideal hideaway.

Fabulous waterside views can be enjoyed from this stunning house which is literally a stone’s throw from the beach - an ideal all year round hideaway. Furnished in a New England style, the well-appointed holiday cottage adjoins another property and is a stylish retreat for family and friends. The grand drawing room at first floor level has French doors opening onto the balcony and is the perfect spot to sit and watch the myriad of boats bobbing in the water or sailing by at high tide. There is also a small kennel for a dog in the courtyard.
Instow is an unspoilt seaside village with large stretches of sandy beaches and dunes, fishermen’s cottages, shops and a good selection of pubs and restaurants specialising in locally caught seafood whilst the local village store and delicatessen is a delight. The area is a must for watersports, sailing enthusiasts and fishermen, whilst walkers and cyclists will enjoy the famous Tarka Trail which passes close by.
Further afield, the rugged North Devon coastline and wonderful surfing beaches of Croyde or Woolacombe are just a short drive away. North Devon is well positioned for visits to Exmoor, Dartmoor and North Cornwall including the local beauty spots of Bucks Mill, Clovelly and Hartland. With so much to explore in this lovely part of North Devon, this is the perfect base for a memorable holiday. Golf is available locally, and Bideford is just 3 miles away, with family attractions including The Big Sheep and The Milky Way adventure parks. There is an excellent choice of restaurants within a 5-minute walk. Shop 30 yards, pub 250 yards.

Lovely house with a great location and beautiful views over the Estuary. The only downside is the proximity to the road and therefore the traffic noise in the front bedrooms.

Great location in Instow. Just a few minutes walk to the beach and John's is a great local convenience. Our Cocker Spaniel loves the beach.

We had 7 people, 3 generations and 1 dog. our holiday experience at Waters edge was great, lovely house which was well equipped and very clean. We have stayed at so called dog friendly cottages before but seem to be full of rules such as No dog upstairs, No dog on furniture, No dog this and that but Waters Edge was very welcoming. The beach also was wonderful, and we took full advantage of the water sports available. The location was very convenient and we took trips to Ilfracombe and Port Isaac. All in all Waters Edge made for a great family holiday and we would very much like to visit again.

We loved this house, it's simply stunning, packed with period features, well equipped and perfectly located. In fact, if we could we would buy this house! The only thing that lets it down was that the rugs and carpets were grubby, but as dogs are allowed its perhaps not surprising.

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you so much for staying at Waters Edge for your recent holiday. I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay in Instow. We have just done a steam clean across the house, all the carpets are now ready for the onslaught of this season's guests - so sorry this work was not scheduled in before your visit. I will let you know if I ever decide to sell up!!
