A light & spacious cottage with stunning views across the Severn Valley. The owners were very helpful and keen to impart local knowledge and the cottage was well-provisioned with a generous welcome pack. Wi-fi availability would have been useful to check current status of visitor attractions and places to eat, but apart from this the cottage was almost perfect, with a lovely atmosphere.

Vale View Cottage more than lives up to its name, beautiful location, fantastic views and a brilliant base for a holiday in the Forest of Dean. Lovely warm welcome from Stuart and Debbie who'd thoughtfully provided all the essentials and more (including a wealth of information about the local area past and present). Highly recommend a visit.

We had a lovely few days at Vale View Cottage. We enjoyed walking in the Forest of Dean. We spent an enjoyable day at nearby Tintern Abbey.

Lovely cottage with fabulous views. Very clean and well equipped. Ideally situated for visiting many lovely places. Owners very friendly and welcoming. Only slight criticism is that the downstairs windows needed curtains.

An amazing place to stay ,beautiful cottage in a stunning location. To call it a view doesn't do it justice ,everyday different dependent on time and weather .The area is a great start to many beautiful places to visit for walks and activities including a steam train. Lovely pubs and cafes serving food to suit all tastes and pockets some in the countryside others on the River Severn . Stuart and Debbie are brilliant hosts ready to help or advise if asked but not intrusive .
