On arrival we found that rather than the flat level bungalow we were expecting we had to negotiate stone steps without a handrail. Through another gate across uneven ground and then up two further steps. As my party comprises of an elderly person with walking difficulties and another who is all but wheelchair bound this was not the start we wanted. Having an unexpected adjoining door in the bathroom between us and the owners private accommodation seemed odd and a little uncomfortable. The settees in the living room had seen better days and could do with replacing. The kitchen door which is an external door has a raised seal (another trip hazard) which serves no real purpose. Yet the master bedroom has no door to offer any privacy and is open to the corridor. The best point of this accommodation's master bedroom is the splendid view of the mountains but even this is spoilt be blinds and the inability to fully open the French Doors. However I cannot fault the owners, they were at all times courteous, helpful and polite and would very much thank them for all their assistance.

We found the conservatory damp. The bathroom could also do with updating. However the owners were very nice and welcoming.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments, however, the conservatory is certainly not damp. The bathroom is not old nor does it need renewing. We keep on top of the upkeep and the Cottage is annually inspected by Wales Cottages who have consistently awarded the property 4*. We always keep a high standard to ensure an enjoyable stay for all our visitors and this is reflected within the many other reviews on the website.

There is a lack of comfortable chairs to see the view of Snowdon, albeit from the main bedroom. A light went on and off during the night which showed in the main bedroom which also was not arranged for maximum privacy. We had a lovely holiday and the owners were helpful.

Lovely location and stunning views. Cottage clean and tidy with everything you need when staying away from home. Just needs a door putting on the 2nd bedroom.

The picture of the field and table and chairs in front of Ty Canol is misleading. We have 2 children and took the field as being somewhere they could play while we sat at the table.

This is a lovely cottage, in a very quiet location, well back from a very small lane. It has everything you'll need for a most enjoyable holiday. The terrace with its magnificent views of Snowdonia is great to enjoy breakfast on. The owners John and Dawn are very pleasant and are close-bye, if you need anything, without being on top of you. My wife, daughter, Labrador and I came away very relaxed. The nearby beaches and those a little further are wonderful for families and also if you have a dog too.
