If your looking for somewhere with no phone reception or wifi then this is the place for you, lovely cottage and clean but not in walking distance of anywhere really, local pub is over 1.5 miles away down very thin lanes, enough room for 1 car, would benefit from sky tv as its so remote, thanks

Beautiful location & handy for a lot of lovely beaches. The wet room was a let down....the water did not drain away & a quick shower ended with the water going out of the that made bathing time for 5 adults...shall we say *interesting* ;) Some of the guest towels were a bit tired looking but overall, a lovely place to stay. Maybe a bit more attention to detail would have made things even better like...check the cups, glasses & crockery after the last guests as we had some suspect crockery etc which had to be washed before use. Oh & the lovely gardens would also benefit from a small fence & gate...this is a cottage for pets & children so it would be more relaxing if the garden was enclosed. Overall though, it is a lovely part of the world & I would recommend a visit to Ty Cam....but check before you go to make sure that the wet room is functional :-)

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your recent stay at Ty Cam, and for your constructive comments. I agree that wet rooms possibly don't always work in practice and we need to review whether to enclose the shower instead, however there is another bathroom with a shower attachment that you could have used. New towels have been purchased and we do our very best in the short time of changeover to ensure everywhere is thoroughly cleaned but not always able to check each item of crockery and we do have a dishwasher which most of our guest use and leave things as they find. The cottage is not advertised as enclosed but it is about 300 feet away from a very quiet road, this is something we are going to address this coming winter and will be a new feature for spring 2017. Thank you once again for your review.

Excellent location to explore the peninsula, with fabulous views from the cottage. Ideal venue for a relaxing holiday where you can snuggle down in front of the log burner.

+ Excellent accommodation in beautiful surroundings. Very quiet and peaceful. Some lovely sunrises. - Wet room doesn't drain very well and floods the whole floor. Mat and slippers got wet the first time; then learnt to put them in the sink before starting shower; after shower mop the floor and dry it before putting mat down. Not very practical when all you want to do is get yourself dry and dressed.
