Lovely cosy cottage with a beautiful secure garden which my dogs loved. Location is so peaceful and quiet which is what we wanted when booking a holiday. Plenty to do with just a short drive. Lyme Regis is a must. Mobile signal is poor but wifi is available and good, and to be honest was nice having no phone signal!! You do get a bit of noise from neighbours but didn't bother us as was out most of the day and I'm sure they can hear us moving around too!! Had a fab little break here and would look to book again and will be recommending to friends.

Lovely cottage, brilliant garden, especially for the dogs and children. Location peaceful and quiet, well it was until we arrived! Well equipped cottage. We thought it just needed another comfortable chair in living room in place of the office chair. Both bathrooms excellent. Thank you to the owners. Would stay there again.

This was a lovely cottage in a gorgeous part of the country however we did have a few issues while here one being we had no hot water for 4 days luckily the plumber had to visit while we were staying so he resolved this for us. Cosy and private but a bit far to the shop if you forget your milk!

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your review and we are pleased that, overall, you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately, it is true that the downside of rural living is needing to ensure that the essentials are available and therefore purchased during shopping trips, albeit that we have two village shops within one and a half miles and the town of Chard is just over three miles from Two Bridge Cottage. In any event, you will have noted that, on arrival, we always provide the essentials for a cup of tea or coffee. We are very sorry that you were not able to successfully use the new central heating and domestic hot water system. We had the new installation put in during January to replace the Combi Boiler that, on rare occasions, was becoming temperamental. Accordingly, the new system has stored hot water from a cylinder located downstairs, together with a 'standby' immersion heater. As a result, there is always hot water available. When it appeared that you could not use the domestic hot water, we arranged for our Heating Engineer to check over the installation and he confirmed that everything was working correctly, albeit that the hot water flow to upstairs takes a moment or two to reach the taps and showers.

Stayed here for a Christmas break arriving on the 23rd December for 4 nights. 3 of us, including our 16 year old daughter. Super location. Could not find a fault with any aspect of this charming well appointed and equipped cottage. On arrival we had essentials such as tea, coffee, milk and treats left for us and for the dogs (we took both our pets with us) Christmas trees, twinkling lights and seasonal decorations in place. (Thoughtful , nice touch) Information packs on operating appliances, timer switches, even how to operate the TV etc available to us. Contacted Nick and Ann the owners to make enquires about what we needed to bring with us the week before our booking, they couldn't be more helpful. Nick the owner called in to check that we had everything we needed on our arrival, and told us about the local area, including the Carol service taking place at Forde Abbey, which incidentally was a stone's throw away and well worth a visit. Really nice people. The cottage has 2 spacious bedrooms and 2 fantastic bathrooms. Plenty of storage, ample room to park the car, and a substantial garden. Because of the rural location, a car is a must. It is a semi detached cottage so previous reviews about being able to hear the neighbours was accurate. We did think they were keeping one of their ponys (normally kept in the paddock at the bottom of the garden) upstairs!! It did not distract from the fun we had and we found it fairly amusing rather than a problem. Warm, cosy, delightful property. Had everything we needed and more. The Abbey is a beautiful place with a charming chapel and fantastic open gardens, highly recommend you explore this attraction, 10 minutes walk away. We also invited to attend the Carol service there Christmas Eve followed by mulled wine in the great hall, it did not disappoint. Clear skies, which free from light pollution gave a marvelous view of the night sky. Would definitely book again, convenient location, pleasant country walks. 25 mins to Lyme Regis, Chard 15 mins away so position of the cottage is accessible to a variety of places to explore and visit. Perfect, dog friendly, home from home. Perception we know is a personal experience , for us definitely 10/10 - faultless.

really lovely, relaxing, comfortable and beautifully appointed little cottage. Snug for a family of five, but that's what made it good value! Location handy for lots of different activities, although we thought the nearest shop was a bit closer. Only (very small) niggle was lack of decent knives in the kitchen. apart from that, wonderful!
