English Country Cottages

From a touch of luxury to characterful heritage, experience one of our truly inspiring holiday properties.

Just 10 miles from Helston in a beautiful location, a perfect base for touring both north and south coasts.

Beautifully converted from a Victorian barn, these two cottages are situated off a quiet lane close to the hamlet of Treggidden, which is centrally located on the famous Lizard Peninsula. Furnished and equipped to a high standard, they adjoin one another and nestle amidst 14 acres of grass and woodland (which the retired owners run as a hobby farm) with a small stream forming the southern boundary. Just 10 miles from Helston and 23 miles from Falmouth, this area of Cornwall is well known for its wealth of wildlife, many NT gardens, sheltered sandy beaches and romantic coves. The tranquil wooded coastline running up to the Helford Estuary offers some of the most spectacular walks in the south-west.

The owners live with their dogs on the farm, which is run as a retirement hobby. In addition to horses grazing the land there are chickens and ducks with an oguage garden railway in the orchard.

Beamed open-plan living/dining room with rugs on ceramic-tiled floor, French doors to patio and well-equipped modern kitchen area. Utility area with Belfast sink. Shower room with toilet. First floor: Hall with polished wooden floor and feature stained glass window inlets. Double bedroom with en-suite toilet and wash basin. Twin bedroom with exposed beams. Bathroom with toilet.

The location suited us down to the ground. Quiet, peaceful area well away from main roads and traffic. Could be too isolated for those who want instant access to shops and commercial entertainment. But for us it was as good as it gets.

Lovely cottage very clean and well equipped. Little bit off the beaten track but that adds to its charm. Would use it again diffinately

A lovely cottage in a very remote location. Really quiet, apart from the cockerel in the mornings. Only criticism I have is it could do with a bit more crockery, as there is a dishwasher but when you need a mug or a plate it is in the washer! Also the cleaners need to look above eye level. Other than that we had a very relaxing week and would visit again.
