Lovely cottage, great location in the town. We had a great time as a family of four using this as a base to explore. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely property, very convenient for all amenities but just not practical for people who have mobility issues.

Beautiful, cosy cottage. The owners have thought of everything! So well presented and comfortable. Fantastic views across the harbour. All in all a lovely holiday.

Great location with lovely view. Dining in kitchen absolutely fine for 2 but would be snug for 4 large adults. Nicely furnished and welcoming. Only thing unexpected was charge for car park - now £45 for the week. (Don't panic if you see the figure of over £90 quoted on the car park noticeboard). May be worth looking at alternative car parks.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you very much for your kind comments and feedback - we hope you had a wonderful stay. The cottage's location on the coast path means parking is not available directly outside unfortunately - however there are five pay and display car parks within walking distance. We took over ownership of the cottage this summer and have since asked 'Cottages 4 You' to include parking information in the confirmation details sent to guests before arrival. Parking prices fluctuate but the cheapest long stay parking we've found is in the Harbour Car park (on the other side of the harbour, facing the cottage) @ £30 per week (prices correct at time of writing).

The view from the front bedroom was great but I regret to say that it was very much downhill from there (and I'm not talking about the steep path down to the harbour). Apart from the two front rooms the property is very dark and cramped, the furnishings are quite worn and several things were in need of repair. There is also a very serious damp problem to the extent that we had to keep our clothes in suitcases. Our biggest complaint however was only discovered on our last morning when we stripped the sheets from our bed. The state of the mattress protector was disgusting, if we had noticed it sooner we would have moved to other accommodation.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Since taking over ownership of the Cottage and since the above review was posted the Cottage has been redecorated, with new furniture throughout. We've also invested in full central heating, a new kitchen with integrated appliances and replaced the roof. We hope future guests enjoy the improvements and have a comfortable stay.
