Had a great week and the weather helped, disipointed that the local pub was closed as this was one of the reasons for booking. Write up for House should reflect this. A sharp knife would have been a good idea as we struggled to cut bread with the one supplied.

We arrived Christmas Eve and the cottage was very welcoming with a Christmas Tree and cosy lighting, we felt at home right away. There was a bottle of wine and some stollen to welcome us. The owner is very helpful and welcoming.

We had a wonderful time at the summer house. The cottage grounds are dog friendly and we went on some wonderful walks. The cottage has all the equipment you require. (The lack of Wifi is an issue , hope the village gets broadband soon!)

We stayed for two weeks in the Summer and went back for an Autumn break. We would consider going back next year but prices are up about 15% for the same period in the Summer which is hard to justify and 8% in the Autumn. I just hope the increase is going to the owner who is a decent fellow, something that is reflected in the Summer House and all that surrounds it.

The location and views were fantastic but as it had been given a gold award via reevoo we were expecting a bit more quality. The overall cleanliness of he property could have been better, with windows that needed cleaning and surfaces that needed dusting. The beds we found uncomfortable and could have done with new mattresses. The whole place would benefit from a coat of paint and some general maintenance. Not what we expected from a gold reward property and the price we paid.

Beautiful location, very peaceful, all you could want. Cottage was exceptional. I only have one suggestion which is a handrail would be useful for the steps leading from the patio door to the decking area as we had my father with us who found getting up and down a bit difficult. Would definitely recommend the Summerhouse and intend to book again next year.

The Summerhouse was a little piece of heaven in beautiful surroundings. Peace, tranquillity, well designed private gardens with undisturbed views of the rolling hills, the Mogg Forest woodland half a mile away (Iron Age fort on the top) and west-facing fields around Wenlock Edge so a lovely spot to spend time in throughout the day, if one chose. Stunning evening skies with the lovely sheep gallivanting around in front of the chalet, even a black rabbit with the wild ones nibbling close by! There were lots of birds, including buzzards, finches, wrens, song thrushes and blackbirds, so anyone keen on wildlife in general would find this ideal. The Summerhouse had everything inside which one could need, sadly in June the woodstove wasn't needed, but that I'm sure would have made it very cosy for the cooler months. Everything possible was thought of to make the stay for guests comfortable, it really was 'home from home' and with the addition of delicious pure water straight from the spring. The interior and exterior were so imaginative and tasteful, it was certainly a place to linger and a shame the week went so quickly - it would be the perfect retreat for artists and writers as there was nothing except nature and wildlife to detract. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, even a beautiful vase of wild flowers from the farmhouse gardens to greet us on our arrival. A big thank you to all concerned.

I could write reams about the how much we enjoyed the Summer House but suffice to say that it is generously equipped and we lacked for nothing. Stunning views, peaceful location and perfect for our anxious dog. We were left to ourselves apart from the first day when we were told that there was sheep shearing going on all all day next to the Summer House, and apologies given for the noise. We were invited to go and watch.
