Very poorly cleaned when we arrived. Food under seats etc. Had power cut in storm doris and was locked in for a couple of hours as electric gates locked shut. Not good. No emergency lighting and considering its 2 sets of open stairs this could have been dangerous. Overall though great location. Good layout.

The location is fantastic. The photos of the property do not do it justice. We loved it. Having stayed at lots of rental properties and struggled to find pans, cups and glasses for everyone, this exceeds expectation. If you're looking for wifi this isn't the place for you. Perfect for some of our party. A very comfortable, warm property with great sea views.

The Quay is literally metres away from the glorious beach at Red Wharf Bay. We loved getting up each day to see the constantly changing view over the bay as the tide came in and out. When the tide was out an extensive clean sandy beach emerged and we really enjoyed walking with the children all the way up to Benllech and back. There were also plenty of pebbles and rock pools so the kids were always playing around finding crabs, skimming stones and splashing in the waves. Red Wharf Bay is a very small and quiet hamlet yet boasted two excellent eateries in the Boathouse restaurant and Ship Inn, which we often frequented. The house itself was modern and set over three floors with four bedrooms, the main room with a large kitchen, dining area and lounge was on the middle floor. We had two balconies on the upper levels and thankfully it was still warm enough, even in early November, to occasionally have breakfast or a drink outside admiring the panoramic views over the bay and beyond. A fabulous and very peaceful location we would certainly stay here again.

This is our fourth visit to the Quay, but our last visit was disappointing. Inundated with flies in second floor bedroom, kitchen tap kept falling off, bath towels were well worn, apartment now in need of refurbishing and decoration. Regarding the first two items I left my name and phone number for the owner to respond, and never had a call.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. Flies were still about due to the unseasonably warm weather but not in a great number. Not sure what I could have done about this? Regarding the decor this is refreshed and upgraded on an ongoing basis, with all woodwork glossed for example last year and all walls repainted at the end of each season. Additionally, beds and mattresses have been replaced, as well as cushions. In addition to the above I have instructed upgrade works to each bathroom, as well as maintenance of main entrance door, porch area, grass and French doors, together with the boiler.
