The location of the cottage was great. It was very well equipped and the owner came to welcome us. The only negative was that the whole place could have done with a spring clean especially the oven.

Great place to stay every thing you need and more. Had Sunday Lunch in the pub just down the road and that was great too. The owner braved the rotten weather on our arrival day just check everything was ok .

We had a wonderful stay, the barn is lovely, the only thing was the mattresses were not brilliant, the bed that makes into a double was very hard, we had 3 couples so this was needed, otherwise everything was great. We were very central for Chester, Liverpool and the Zoo, the local pub is excellent for meals. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful location and fabulous accommodation for a family holiday. Lovely quiet, rural location despite being only a few minutes drive from amenities and main roads. The view from the front steps towards the Mersey is spectacular. We didn't pick up that there are steps (up, down, up) between living space and the master bedroom which wasn't ideal for our party, but otherwise as described. Loss of wifi for a couple of days not fixed hence 9 for equipment otherwise everything we could have wanted was provided.

OMG!!! Amazing!!!! Could not fault in anyway. Within 2 hours of being there we were already discussing when we could go back for longer.

Well equipped and toastily warm - ideal for a cold February break. I find it odd to be asked to grade location as we chose it and it was exactly as described! Minor observations - the loo seat in the upper bathroom needs securing and a full length mirror in the upper bedroom would have been appreciated. Otherwise - super on all fronts. Our main disappointment was with the local pub. The poor service in the White Lion meant having tried it on our first night we never ventured near the place again!

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the owner; We are glad that Peter and family enjoyed their stay. In response a new toilet seat was fitted, thank you for drawing our attention to this. The local pub continues with its superb food and real ale and under the new landlord the service is back where it should be! In addition a mile further on, is one of Cheshire's best Gastro pubs, The Goshawk in Manley.
