We fell in love with the place as soon as we walked through the door. Very good use has been made of the available space and is perfect for two people. The rooms are larger than I expected from the photo of the outside of the property. The fittings are of very good quality and the property is well equipped. Sue and David are very welcoming and not at all intrusive but were available by one means or another if needed. There are many great places in the area if you enjoy walking and Lincoln itself is well worth a visit for the history. I should imagine the garden is beautiful in the summer but as we went in autumn it was not the time of year for sitting out. However, we experienced the lovely autumnal colours of the trees in the garden and enjoyed watching the squirrels instead. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be returning.

We had a lovely holiday at The Old Forge. The accomodation was extremely clean and nicely proportioned for two. The bed and the sofa were very comfortable, with everything provided for a weeks stay. The fixtures and fittings were of a high quality and the patio area and use of the owners garden were the icing on the cake. We enjoyed afternoon tea on the patio overlooking the beautiful flower gardens on several sunny afternoons. We would like to return and would definitely recommomend this beautiful retreat.

A wonderful comfortable, cosy cottage away from the hustle and bustle. Only a few local amenities, but we didn't need any anyway. Everything you could wish for in a cottage with friendly owners who provided a warm welcome along with a lovely basket of goodies on arrival.

A very cosy cottage with all the comforts of home. We would recommend this cottage as a base to visit all of the local attractions in Lincoln. The welcome hamper was superb, there was also tea and coffee & milk available to relax after your journey. We would be more than happy to stay at The Forge again. Our thanks to Sue & David.

The Old Forge is a delightful cosy cottage just right for a couple. The owners are welcoming and friendly without being intrusive and they had provided an excellent welcome basket. The location is convenient for visits to Lincoln and is on a good bus route which saves the problems of parking in the city. Overall we loved this property and the area.
