Beautiful location, and great for walking, running and cycling. There are waymarked routes around the estate from your door. Large entrance hallway for stashing wet raincoats and wellies. Lovely little wood-burning stove. Good cottage for taking dog. The decor could do with a bit of a refresh, it's looking tired and could do with some maintenance. The kitchen needs sorting and utensils replacing. Water smells sulphurous - but I'm used to it having stayed there a few times. Take some bottled water.

If you love nature, walking, open air away from the white background noise of urban living, streams and getting back to the essence of what truly matters. For me the simple pleasures of good company, hot water, fire, warmth shelter and free from the hastle of climbiing into the car to sight see other places...this is it. The natural locationis key here. And The Glen, made it possible to enjoy it fullyand more specifically allowed dogs to share this time with, which is precious to both dog s and dog guardians. Each step outside it's doors along the myriad of paths never failed to disappoint. We all came back rejuvinated charged up and changed from the healing benefits of a simple life and nature...This is what was key to us and was very much appreciated. Ps sulphur is good for the skin and health.
