I always try to leave a fair review and will do so here. The premises has really lovely views and is very quiet so if it is peace you are after you will find that here. Another plus is that there was Sky tv. The sitting area was comfortable enough. However I am afraid that was all the plus points as far as we are concerned. The ad mentions a low bed and a sloping ceiling - be warned, you will sleep on a mattress on a bed base on the floor, you will have to crawl into the bed as the only bit of headroom on the mezzanine is as you get to the top of the stairs and there is only around 6-8 inches of foot room around the bed. That is the whole room. Whoever took the photo of this room was very skilled to make it look as it does. The ad also mentions a sofa bed for alternative sleeping, what there actually is is a corner sofa unit - no sofa bed. We wondered where we would hang our clothes as there is no wardrobe, we discovered a hanging rail and some hangers in the cupboard within the kitchen area which houses the hoover, ironing board and mop and bucket - nice! There is no grill or oven - what looks like a microwave in the picture in the ad is a combi oven. This didn't bother us but may bother others. Oh and you have to sit on the toilet at an angle. We did not expect 5* luxury at the property but the description on the website does not reflect what we found and we felt slightly ripped off for what we paid. I realise that there are a lot of complimentary reviews left for this property but these are our views - if you have any mobility issues or are of an older generation I doubt you would be happy (or able to negotiate) the sleeping arrangements. We would not stay there again.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. The bed is a low bed and is suitable for the space. The Corner sofa does contain a standard, pull out sofa bed so I am sorry if you could not find it. As space is of a premium in the property, all space is utilised – the images clearly show the property in a true light. The kitchen is more than adequate for a stay as previous Reevoos show. We are a 4* grade and have annual inspections by the Agency and they are happy with us and our other Reevoos clearly show that most people appreciate the wonderful peaceful location as well as the quality of the property.

Peaceful location and we'll equipped cottage. Although crawling into bed is very literal in the Cowstall due to the head height.

Great place so lovely and clean. Well stocked with everything you need. The reason we go to nice places with our dogs is so I do not have to wash up. Sadly the electrics tripped when we put the dishwasher on.

The sleeping accommodation is too small and difficult to access. It was surprising to find a toilet/shower than opened directly into the kitchen area.
