Would echo much of what Julie, the previous reviewer said, though to be fair the wi-fi was adequate. Approach to the cottage is described as being via 'a private drive' which is in fact a single track county lane with no passing bays. On our visit we found much of it overgrown with brambles, a situation not helped by the roses adjacent the wall of the farmhouse. Arriving in a 4x4 or similar large vehicle it was impossible to drive this road without touching brambles/roses one side or the other of the narrow lane. As a result both sides of my 6 month old Range Rover sustained scratches that cost me £168.00 to have professionally polished out. It may have been worse had I not then personally walked the lane and cut back all the offending vegetation prior to traversing it a second time. I would hope the owners take note of this and take steps to ensure future visitors don't experience the same.

The Bothy is a pleasant 2 storey stone cottage. It is ideal for those looking for isolation. We found it to be far too isolated. There was nothing within walking distance. There is no mobile phone signal and the wi fi is very poor. This is ideal if you are looking for a complete escape. We needed to keep in touch with our business and this proved virtually impossible. The Bothy did say it was a romantic get away - please be aware that there are 2 very small sofas and we could not both fit on one - so not so romantic in the lounge. The bedroom had 2 single beds - they were joined together but with 2 single duvets - again not at all romantic. Also there is no wardrobe just a few coat hangers on the wall. We had hoped to cook lots of meals -hence why we booked a cottage instead of a hotel - but there was virtually no work top space and the pans and utensils were poor quality. There was a small dishwasher - but not enough crockery and cutlery to really make use of it.

Very comfortable well appointed cottage in lovely quiet rural location. Amanda and Charles were extremely welcoming and friendly hosts. We had a great relaxing week.
